Event Details

Sacramento was recently recognized as one of the best “farm to table” cities in America, and anyone who has ever dined around the city knows that it’s a haven for foodies and people passionate about local and sustainable eats. Celebrate the city’s rich agricultural ties by attending the Sacramento Food Film Festival.

The kickoff event on Friday, March 15th will be the highlight with two films and a sushi tasting event. First, view the locally produced film Quest for Honey, followed by a discussion by the Nevada County filmmakers. Then enjoy a sushi tasting event with sushi provided by Mikuni and Kru. Learn about seafood sustainability and sushi making from Taro of Mikuni and Billy Ngo of Kru. Afterwards, go back to the theater to enjoy the critically acclaimed documentary, Jiro Dreams of Sushi, sponsored by Mikuni.

On Saturday, March 16, join the festival for a scavenger hunt, discussion with Master Gardener Bill Maynard, attend a Meat Hooked! event with Selland Family restaurants, a panel discussion on farm workers and other fun events designed to celebrate Sacramento’s budding food scene.

Whether you’re a connoisseur of only the finest foods or you’re excited about understanding where your food comes from (or you just like to eat delicious, sustainable food!) this is a can’t miss event. Tickets are limited, so don’t miss your chance to get a great deal on this amazing event!
